Heads Up, CrossGen!!

Here's what CrossGen did during "Serve The World" day!

Everyone really "let down their hair" and got ready to be
dirtied and perspire it out!

It was really an awesome time..
Serving the needy together..
We all got out of our comfort zone to take few hours
to be into the lives of the needy, psychiatric, deaf... basically, people who
are at times cared less by the norm.

It was great joy to see how every LG in CG worked together
to bring joy and help to the needy; reaching out.
Learning how to work in unity, serving one another..
Isn't that what a biblical LG should be?

It reminded me about what being a Christian is about too.
Doing what Jesus did ; Reaching out to the lost and needy.
Jesus just loved to spend time with people who are put down by the
society, people who have deep needs but are not met.
I don't know about you, but it brought me much joy to talk to them
and help them.
I pray that after that day, our hearts are ENLARGED, beyond living for ourselves, but being selfless.
Increase our compassion for people, Lord.

Registration Details:
Full Time: $45 (student/non working) / $105 (working)
Part Time: per day, $20 (student/non working) / $50 (working)

Registration starts this coming Saturday actually, so you guys can bring your forms and your $ and pass it to me thx :> However registration will not be available on 4 April as we would be over at Suntec Convention for Easter Service. Do take note. :-) Registration ends on 1 May.

The main purpose of this event is to outreach,so let's give our all and bring as many friends as we can!Pray hard too!Haha!These are the sports that we can play:Basketball,Volleyball,Soccer,Captain's ball,and if you want to play badminton, you can bring your own racket and maybe a shuttlecock too,just in case!
Also,let's try our best to get to know and make friends with the invited ppl!Every single one of them matter to God and they should to us too!

Romans 4:18-25 (The Message)

^17-18We call Abraham "father" not because he got God's attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody.

Isn't that what we've always read in Scripture, God saying to Abraham, "I set you up as father of many peoples"? Abraham was first named "father" and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing. When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn't do but on what God said he would do. And so he was made father of a multitude of peoples. God himself said to him, "You're going to have a big family, Abraham!"

^19-25Abraham didn't focus on his own impotence and say, "It's hopeless. This hundred-year-old body could never father a child." Nor did he survey Sarah's decades of infertility and give up.

He didn't tiptoe around God's promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God, sure that God would make good on what he had said.

That's why it is said, "Abraham was declared fit before God by trusting God to set him right." But it's not just Abraham; it's also us!

The same thing gets said about us when we embrace and believe the One who brought Jesus to life when the conditions were equally hopeless.

The sacrificed Jesus made us fit for God, set us right with God.

"What can GOD do through me?".

That question can change your perspective.

Abraham did not look at his own disabilities. He didn't think of himself as inadequate. Yes, he was old. Yet he chose to trust GOD and look to His power. Did God failed him at the end?

No.

God did not shortchange him and yet blessed him tremendously.

You can be like Abraham.

NO situation is beyond HOPE with Jesus by our side.

How can you apply this in your life?

HELLO PEOPLE! I'm sure you guys all had a belly good time at CENTRAL G REUNION DINNER @redhill!

yesh we had a gewd time playing games and bonding with our spiritual family :-)

one of the highlights of the evening was when we got to read each other's encouragement angbaos! haha look at geraldine trying to read! i'm sure many people's spirits were lifted and so yea thank God for you guyzzzz!

also thank God for the food com (meimei, xueting, jiahui), games com (ryu, jillene, huiying) and also for YK for putting in so much effort to make sure we had a good time (Y)

let's also take some time this CNY to appreciate/spend time with our family and apply what we've learnt during today's ESS sermon :-) let'z show our love and shine for God this holiday!
